Anquan Boldin has finally found a new home.
The Detroit Lions have reportedly signed the veteran wide receiver to a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The signing fills a void at wide receiver for the Lions, who saw star wideout Calvin Johnson retire during the offseason. The Lions added Marvin Jones at the start of free agency, but still faced depth issues leading them to take a chance on Boldin.
Boldin had a productive year on a dismal San Francisco 49ers team in 2015. He had 69 receptions, 789 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
The 35-year-old will also reunite with Lions head coach Jim Caldwell from his days with the Baltimore Ravens. Caldwell was the offensive coordinator on the Ravens when they won Super Bowl XLVII.
